Kids' Church

Sundays, 9:15 a.m.

Through music, stories, skits, puppets and games, children experience worship on their terms - with plenty of room to wiggle! All children begin the Sunday morning service with their families in the sanctuary for praise music and the Children's message. Then, they're off to Kids' Church for this fun, memorable worship experience.

Sunday School

(preschool - high school)
Sundays, 10:15 - 11 a.m.

Our Sunday School teachers are excited about sharing the stories of the Bible with your children in a stimulating environment to nurture each child's faith development during these important growing years!

At St. James UMC, we are called to teach our children to: Know God's love for them, and grow in faith through understanding Jesus Christ in a safe, loving and joyful environment.

We, also, believe that our children are not just the church of tomorrow, but they are the church of today! This year's theme will focus on the days of the "One Room School House" where we will learn about the "Fruits of God's Spirit."

Youth Ministry

We offer a variety of spiritually uplifting events and programs for youth from 6th through 12th grade.

We've designed a youth ministry where your child will not only have fun but will grow in character and spiritual maturity in the process.

Just give us a call or drop us an e-mail and we'll have one of our youth call or write your teenager and personally invite him or her to an upcoming event.

We'll be right there with you throughout the whole process, sharing with you any information that might help you get your teenager connected. We have both a Junior and Senior High Youth Fellowship.

Confirmation in The United Methodist Church is a time of intentional preparation, leading to the first public profession of faith.

During his time, young persons "make firm" what has gone fore: God's prevenient grace, baptism, the teaching and witness of parents and other persons of faith, the teachings and life together in the church, and the student's own growing faith.

Youth are invited to claim for themselves the name Christian and the name United Methodist. Confirmation is a significant step in the journey of faith.
